HI, new here, but i've noticed that it's frowned upon when people ask questions that have already been answered, so before i begin i'm truly sorry if this has already been asked.

Anyway, i'm currently 16 and in grade 11, I plan on applying for the primary reserve artillery, I know how often they meet and all that (e.g one evening a week, and one weekend a month). but what i cant find is what KIND of work they do on that weekly basis. I know it will change from week to week but if someone could give me some examples, like is it weapons drills one day, then classroom stuff the next?

Thanks in advance-A. Irving-Kerr

There's a wide array of work that does vary from week to week.  There is some mandatory training that has to be done periodically; there will be preparation for exercises (including checking equipment, and reviewing key areas that will be practiced on exercises), clean-up after exercises; reviews of key skills and knowledge... there are many things to fill a training night.

In my primary reserve career within the same troop and unit things have been Fairly different every year. Some of this has been a result of promotions, new qualifications and/or if the unit is tasked with a special task. It also depends on who is in charge of your troop and how much equipment your unit has.

You have the right idea. One night itll be this the next will be something else. It really depends on a lot of factors. As always your mileage may vary.

The best people to talk would be at your local artillery unit.

An easy way to find various info.... Google
Or just drop in at the selected Unit and ask.

thanks for the help, it was kind of a stupid question but I just can't seem to find anything on what to expect.
