I doubt that will happen. At worst they’ll become very minor appendages similar to the other royal houses in continental Europe.

Which part of the Continent? North or South?

Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands all have active monarchies.

For that matter so does Spain.

In Europe we also have Belgium, Andorra, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and Monaco.

Japan and Thailand are also monarchies.
