Should you only list certain certificates if they only apply to your trade or can you list any? For example, I am a certified Black Belt, Customer service certified and food safe certified. Yet I'm applying for the position of MP. Thanks,

This your first job application?

Get a "good" Resume/CV format and follow it.  On your Resume/CV you have places to list your education, sports activities, hobbies/interests, and employment histories.  List all that stuff under the appropriate headings.

Perhaps you should SEARCH now for such a document.

Yes you will have to write pretty much the summary of your life from a specified time frame (Ex. during the past 12 months or 5 years ...)  Each information has to be under the proper heading.  If you have proofs of such certificates it would definitely help.  ;)

Like others said, on the application, you write down everything. They ask for it, you tell them. They decide if it's important or not.

On resumes, you can guide your information towards the job you're applying for, and leave out the irrelevant stuff.
