Quite a leap forward, especially for reservists.

It is an excellent change, much needed for something that hasn't been updated in 20+ years. Now they just need to align the RegF plan with something as simple and elegant.
 
Should help retention and recruitment in the Reserves.


Education reimbursements

Also makes a CT from the Reg F more attractive - get up to 30K for educational upgrading in the P Res if you stay for four years, then the VAC ETB is on top of it.

Added bonus is that since the CAF benefits from the educational reimbursement, it's not a taxable benefit (ETB is taxable).

If only I didn't keep getting rejected for it "because there is no money in the budget for it" or "we changed the website you need to submit your application to and you submitted to the old one and it's too late now to re-apply."

I would think that a reservist that gets to be NES would not be able to collect, hence the requirement to show up at actual reserve training sessions.
