From Chris Alexander, someone I wish was still in government in some high level foreign affairs capacity. Makes the point that the Russian Empire is the only European empire that never decolonized. He also notes a quote from Putin that is used a lot in Russia, and often repeated in Russia that has not had a lot of exposure here: “Russia’s borders do not end anywhere”.
