SADDAM CAPTURED

Matt Drudge (www.drudgereport.com) got the Blue Ribbon for best headline yesterday, with "Ace in the Hole"

This morning, they had a sound bite from one of the actual soldiers involved with the capture of Hussein. Supposedly, they missed the spider hole once. When they did find it, they almost threw a grenade in, but saw him at the last minute. Upon pulling him out, he said "I am Saddam Hussein. I am the President of Iraq". Not missing a beat - the soldier quipped "President Bush sends his regards".....

Congrats, hitman... you get a prize for fitting the most clichés in the smallest space.

Saddam knew that if he raised his pistol, he‘d risk being perforated. Is it that hard to believe that even the "Butcher of Baghdad" would bargain for his life?
