Saving a chest rig's straps

The guy who I bought this chest rig from must have cut the front (chest) straps after he found a good length for himself.

With my chest size and body armor underneath I'm going to need more length and it's getting dangerously close to the end.

Is there anything I can do to fix this on my own and not switch to a different rig?  Do companies sell replacement straps? or could I maybe take a length of strap and sew it on to extend it?

Any suggestions?

Two options;
One, you can replace just the yoke (looks like a TT MAV? You can buy the X-harness seperate.
Two, you can either sew a new strap onto the yoke, or just add to what's there. Find a local tailor or fabric shop and buy some 2" webbing.

Youre right you can buy the yoke seperate, looks to be about $50.  I bought it for $150 by the time I'm done I think I'll be putting an extra $200 into it or more.  Like an old axe with 3 new heads and 2 new handles.

I'll take a look at the tailoring option though I think if I add length on to the end of strap it may not work since it seems to be just a few inches short and thats where I'd need the material to catch in the buckle.

2" webbing and bringing it to a sewing place will solve the problem for less than $20 (well, it would cost me about $10 at the place I always go to anyway). If the spot where it gets overlapped and sewn is right where you need the buckle to catch, just cut more off the original strap so it's sewn in a different place.
