Should the CME be renamed Royal Canadian Engineers ?

Hi all,
Having personally gone through the rebadging in 1975 (when I took down the RCE hat badge and put up the CME hat badge) I would have to say no.  It's been 30 plus years and I think the way it is now is just fine. Of course they may want to consider it when the Queen retires and the new King takes over one day. We will have to change all badges to the Kings crown anyway. Who knows?

Unless the King decides to retain the St. Edward's Pattern Crown, which is a possibility that was discussed here very recently.  "King's Crown" refers to the Tudor crown, and it is not a given that Charles (or whomever) would adopt it upon ascension to the throne.
