I was under the impression that the 6.5cm was incredibly accurate however there were concerns with its terminal ballastics making it good for target shooting but less so for killing evil doers. That when it was relatively new so maybe things changed.

I suspect that a barrel change is required.SOCOM tested the bullet using a .308 case I think.

I'm reasonably certain that an evil doer hit with a 6.5cm round is going down.  6.5mm, on the other hand

The better ballistics of the 6.5 bullet allow for it to carry more energy further, with more accuracy at a significantly higher BC as well as more ft/lbs.

I think the bullet for 6.5x55 Swedish would be too long for the C7 platform. It would probably work on an AR-10 platform though.

:nod: 10 more mm on the cartridge over a 5.56x45 probably rules that out as an option on the AR-15/M4/C7_8/etc platform.  The Creedmoor cartridge is what, 49mm? Barring breech face size limitations, could AR-15 format take a Creedmoor 6.5 barrel/breech?

I think this is for SOCOM sniper rifles only.
