I got interested in the army training after my friend told me he was going to try out. He said there was a paid summer training program (non-commissioned members) which lasts for 2 months.
I searched through the Forces.ca site and some others, but I failed to find the program he specified. I found the "Basic Training" thing itself, but its a bit too long "intensive 13-week course" which I will not have enough time to do in the summer alone. So have I missed the page or visited the wrong site?
Secondly, I have a question about the body build. I'm turning 17 in a few weeks, Asain, really active and played competitive sports before, so I'm thinking that I'm decently prepared after looking at the requirements (pushups, situps, chinups). But upon looking at some videos of the people who go through training, they all look a older (20s) and A LOT stronger than me, which is giving me some second thoughts.
Lastly, if I want to apply, will it be more effective if I complete the forms and submit it online or visit one of the recruitment centers (it is the Christmas Break so I'm not sure if they are open).
Thank you for your time reading my post and have a Merry Christmas.
