Quick question. During The Second World War, Nazi soldiers were referred to as "Jerries" by Allied troops, including Canadians.

Did CAF soldiers have any similar nicknames for the Taliban during our time in Afghanistan?

Timmy was what we called them, similar context to "Charlie" used during the Vietnam War...

"Think Timmy will come out & play today?"

In the broader context, we also referred to Afghanistan as the sandbox.

Otherwise, I just heard them referred to as "bad guys"

For example, if we were being shown UAV footage prior to a patrol or an OP, any suspected or confirmed Taliban activity was communicated like...

"And here we have some bad guys...walking around doing bad guy stuff..."

I have to ask... are you looking for ideas to name a new dog or something?
