We should at least equipt all 3 armour regiments with tanks.
Why & How many tanks do you figure that will require?

To defend Canadians intrests home and abroad. Tanks are important as seen in Iraq. We should at least equipt all 3 armour regiments with tanks.

Dude, sweeping statements and uninformed opinions like that is the stuff that gets you banned form here.

Stay in your lane ... you're going toe to toe with people that have far more knowledge and experience IRT the Canadian military, more specifically the RCAC.

Well i think that because i think all CMBG should have the same amount of tanks. I think it would take about 180 tanks.

explain to me why are military is fine the way it is, and to the people who say we don't need more tanks do the same, explain to me why I'm wrong?

When did we say the way things are is "fine" ?

I'll admit i don't know, but since you have more knowledge then me(not being a smart a$$ as you do know more) explain to me why are military is fine the way it is, and to the people who say we don't need more tanks do the same, explain to me why I'm wrong?

Don't let these bitter, institutionalized types get you down, bud.  You have a great idea, and it just needs a bit of fleshing out.  Stand your ground and don't be intimidated.
I think the rest of you should be a little more open to new ideas.  Just because they aren't polished isn't a reason to be so down on a guy.  :tsktsk:

- Fair comment.  We can be a tad brusque sometimes.

Well first off i didnt say 3 new squadrons to the guy who said which reserve regiments would come up. I said equipt the 3 we got. 180 tanks means 3 tank squadrons for the regiments with 20 tanks in each squadrons.

Thank you zipperhead_cop

No problem, bud.  They laughed at me when I wanted to set up cosmic ice harvesters, and I've been waiting for my due since then.  :threat:

Folks, this has gone on long enough.  Let it die.

Braveheart, please, it's time that you pushed back from the keyboard and just read along for a while.  We appreciate that you want to participate, but this is not like many other less-regulated forums on the net.  There's a lot of experience, knowledge and expertise on this forum, about the CF and many other topics.  And we're (collectively) pretty sensitive about keeping serious discussions serious, and moving dying threads into boards like radio Chatter to flounder. Take it easy, get a feel for how the board works and don't take offense when you get caught out not knowing as much as you think you do.  It happens.  You'll also see very experienced members here staying well away from the subjects outside their personal expertise, except to ask questions from the relevant experts.  Accepting that you don't know is just as important here as pitching in where you do.
