... The Government of Canada takes these findings seriously, and is taking several steps to address the AG’s recommendations:
- We have put in place an approved and updated risk management plan to formally and regularly identify all known Future Fighter Capability Project (FFCP) risks ensuring there are appropriate mitigation strategies in place.
- We will update and refine a master implementation plan to manage project activities in accordance with the Integrated Master Schedule. As with all major projects, the plans for the FFCP are evergreen, and will continue to be monitored and updated when required.
- We will review the FFCP cost estimates on an annual basis, or more frequently should significant issues be identified.
- Additionally, we will communicate on milestones achieved on discrete projects in order to be transparent in public reporting.

Whatever happened to the RCAF Security Forces that were going to be stood up to protect the F35s?
I think one needs the infrastructure to house the forces and the F35’s.Whatever happened to the RCAF Security Forces that were going to be stood up to protect the F35s?
The schedule indicates delivery in 2026 & 2027 for first 8 aircraft at Luke AFB and deliveries to Canada starting late 2028. The 2018 and 2025 reports indicate a failure to address pilot and tech shortages. So it appears that some of the occupants of Carling have been sitting on their hands. Would it be fair to say that promotions and transfers should be held back until results are achieved? Look forward to reply’s from those in the know.If the F-35s aren't coming until 2031, at the earliest, I don't see a huge rush to stand up a new trade. Maintaining the status quo of technicians, cooks, supply techs and clerks play WASF is much easier and less costly.

Though I suspectthe RCAFair forces around the world may have just had an AH HA moment about aircraft storage and the need for hardened sites.
The report indicates results have not been achieved in a timely manner. Correct me if I’m wrong, but surely there have been key senior staff whom have been involved in this project and they have failed to achieve goals before moving onto other projects and/or promoted. Every year senior promotions are published yet the CAF in general seems to be in a worse state than as each year goes buy. Yes the government is to blame for not funding properly and yes there are retirements in the CAF. But it just appears in my eyes (from the sideline) that underachieving is normal. What?
