The War in Ukraine

more of this needed. Dont let NK be a better ally to Russia than we are to Ukraine
At this point we need to grow a spine and provide deep strike munitions to Ukraine. There are dozens of rail bridges in Russia proper if destroyed. Would hurt russian logistics, they rely so heavily on rail they can't easily push 200km from a rail hub logistical support which is what lead to the supply issues during the battles for kyiv, sumy and northern ukraine

What they really need is the ability to excel at maneuver warfare, which is a little more complicated than just using bigger/ better bombs unfortunately...

If only "WE" had deep strike munitions to give to Ukraine...

Yes, that definitely is a case, but you still can’t amass the forces needed for advance until you remove Russia’s strike assets.

Russian ability to reseed minefields, and their fires via RAM and OWUAS need to be eliminated.

If they sent them and they did well, then they would look bad cancelling it. So they let them rot I suspect.
Not at all, the point was it wasn’t practical for the light divisions. That doesn’t mean it could not be effective in a different force construct.

Politically it would look bad. Personally I suspect they do decently as a export item, for countries or allies that can't operate a full sized MBT. It is similar to the Leopard 1.

A potential upgrade for the Leopard 1A5's Ukraine was given is about to start being field tested.

Deep strikes on Russia are likley the only way to bring Putin to the peace table at this point.

Tomahawks for the Ukraine now!!!

The Ukrainians are building their own low cost cruise missile substitutes, apparently with some indigenously developed novel navigation systems. They are moving up in the world from converted Cessnas and small numbers of local Neptunes to making millions of UAVs locally. Some of those UAVs are becoming hard to distinguish from cruise missiles.

Tomahawk is getting a lot of competition.

...

One of the reasons that I continue to like the original Kratos launch concept is that by launching off rails the weight of the undercarriage is eliminated (this includes eliminating folding and locking mechanisms, hydraulics, electrics, controls and covers) and by using a booster rocket that is jettisoned the vehicle gets to use all its fuel to achieve range. It doesn't have to expend any gaining altitude against the force of gravity.

The recovery chute, in the event that the vehicle RTBs for recovery, weighs very little.
