The RCAF should operate it, Antonov can support it as payment for the support we have given Ukraine. We rented it enough in the past to justify having one of our own.Do they want the one in Pearson?

50 meters strikes me as being awfully close to being a Hail Mary shot but I am guessing you need one last crack at it.Little more refined than the Russian version that I've seen that's been around for a couple months, and not put together in the field with whatever you have on hand.

Interesting. I wonder if the same principle could be applied to the 25x137mm for the LAV's M242.
Two sources told Axios they had reason to believe the plan was likely to include long-range missiles that could reach targets deep inside Russian territory, including Moscow. However, neither was aware of any final decision.
Happened at least twice on film but with Bradleys. Programmable air burst munitions already exist in the 25mm range, though that'll be an expensive solution to $500 drones. Flechette canisters would be closer to what Ukraine has created.
In other news. Believe it when I see it.
Trump to announce "aggressive" Ukraine weapons plan
Possibly related to this that I posted on Wednesday in the Political Impacts thread, SCALP production is getting spun back up.
I’m guessing this is a multiplex round.I was curious about the nature of the "submunitions" in the 5.56 round. I am assuming it doesn't require any gadgetry on the rifle.
Most shotguns are 10m and in for this sort of work. That seems to be well within the range of successful shootdowns even with a shotgun, remember these things are small and fast.
Makes sense, I am however somewhat skeptical based on my own experiences with multiple projectile ammunition. This is supposed to fill the gap if EW and anti-drone drones fail and to give troops a fighting chance without having to lug around an additional weapon with its own ammunition.
True, but remember the old days of "Aircraft Action Right/Left" and having everybody fire their FN's in a mad rapid fire wall of lead as a last resort against aircraft? If nothing else is working ...50 meters strikes me as being awfully close to being a Hail Mary shot but I am guessing you need one last crack at it.

@Remius @brihardWell this is a surprising turn. Very much sounds like a breakup with Daddy P, just need to wait and see if this new bark has bite.
Trump asked Zelenskiy if Ukraine could hit Moscow, FT reports
He seems to have really had a bad breakup with Vlad, that is going to make Vlad very very sad. While I wish in my underdog heart of hearts POTUS47 is having a change of heart on which horse to back, I’ve seen him flip flop too much to hold out much long term hope. Happy to be wrong, though.![]()
How feasible would it be for the Ukkies to reverse engineer a Tomahawk missile if Trump sent them some. Would this be sensible for them try and and do this?@Remius @brihard
Now that it has become a little clearer from the last article, putting this in here since an actual weapon system has been name dropped.

Trump Reportedly Considered Sending Tomahawk Missiles to Ukraine Capable of Hitting Moscow
In a strategic shift, Trump allows Ukraine to utilize ATACMS missiles and weighs Tomahawk missiles to enhance pressure on Russia's leadership.united24media.com
Physically, Tomahawk‘s a 40+ year old system. The missile itself is probably well within their capabilities to match or surpass. I would have to think the magic is in the navigation/guidance/targeting software, and integrating it with launch systems of aircraft. How feasible would it be for the Ukkies to reverse engineer a Tomahawk missile if Trump sent them some.
