anyone here from the The Three Rivers Regiment?
if so i am looking for any information on what  the unit was doing  in 1943  and if any  major battles they might ahve been in Dec 1943 I am looking for infoarmation on my  great uncle Trooper Ward Waren died Dec 22, 1943 with the regiment.  all i can find is a picture of him wearing a Lanark and Renfrew Sottish Regiment Balmoral in the local highschool remembrance photo( i think he migh of been a army  cadet while in highschool or might of joined the L&R Scottish, then transfered to an armour unit
anyhelp please let me know I am just curious

In December 1943 the Three Rivers Regiment was taking part in the battle of Ortona in Italy. There is a book about the battle called “Ortona” by Mark Zuehlke. You can also check the Official history.

if so is there a vetrans group or historical group mae up of any  WW@ vets? I would not mind emailing or writing them and finding out if anyone remembers my  great uncle and can give me some details about him. all people who would of known him are long since dead and it is kind of sad but searching ebay  a few years ago i found an opened letter to my  great grandparents from him (  the ebay  story  it was lost in the mail and just found recently  among some papers and the finder put it up forsale) my  mother bid on it and won , paid for it but the seller never mailed it to use or it was lost again.
so if there is a vets group pleae let me know contact info
