Hi, I am Thinking of joining the Reserves, Researched alot of things, But I am wanting to ask One thing only, So please if you can answer this I will be very thankful. When a application does get approved and you are waiting to go to basic training, Who pays? I know the Leadership and recruiting school is in Quebec I just want to know if I would be the one paying or would it be paid by the CF? If you even have a link I would also like a link that would explain this, Trying to do all this researching before i get myself in step to do the process. Like to be prepared and get all the info i can before i take that step. So if you can answer this, Thank you!

Transportation to and from St-Jean as well as meals etc... has to do with your Unit. Are you sure that you will be doing Reg-F BMQ in St-Jean and not Reserve BMQ? Reserve BMQ is usually done in the vicinity of the Unit although I have known of some people who did go there. The only people that could answer the question truthfully is the unit you are applying to, I would suggest briefing with them as to what you would be doing for BMQ to better answer your questions.

That depends on if BMQ is being held at the unit, or run at a training center.  If it's being held at the unit, you would be responsible for your own transportation, unless it's serving several small communities, then they may have a shuttle van.  If it's being held at a training center, transportation is provided.  Distance is usually the determining factor.

Thank you so much! You just helped me with one of the biggest questions now i can finish with the other research and well get ready for this week due some fun moments. But thanks anyways. You have a good day and when i get all my papers ready Ill be working on joining. Just working on some getting birth Certificate and The High school credits. Got to Grade 12 But had a health issue that is pretty much dealt with and under control, Going to see a recruiter on monday, To ask a few more questions but pretty much that would be it.

That is where you go first to ask the questions.  You are not clear on who or what you are yet, so no one here can give you any advice.  Talk to the Recruiter and ask them.

As you have not even applied yet, be prepared for a long wait.  You will not be enrolled for the next six months at a minimum.

No problem, I got paitence and this wouldnt be the first time i had to wait a long time. anyways thank you anyways. Ill be seeing a recruiter on monday.

Is it wrong that from the main page I saw "transportation" right next to "recruiting", and immediately thought of the Australian army? :D
