Why would Trump be concerned with ignoring court decisions? The Supreme Court has already ruled that he is immune from any illegal acts that he performs in his role as President.

Not any illegal acts, just official act. But, who determines if the act was "official" or not? The courts. What evidence can they use? Very little.

So, yes, technically if Trump ordered the arrest or even a hit on a political rival and claimed that it was based on national security concerns, it's ok! (at least that's my read on it).

Example: Dems take the house and senate in the next mid-terms. Trump has the speaker and senate presidents arrested. Why? "Because he truly believed that they would enact policies/do things that would be detrimental to the safety and prosperity of the country."

Again, just my opinion on it.

Aren't ANY acts that the President takes in relation to the various Departments of the US Government by definition "official" acts?

Yes, but when you said "immune from any illegal acts" I missed that you also said "that he performs in his role as President." So, mea culpa.

So, when he murders his wife, he'll just have to say "yes well she had some really bad dirt on me that she was going to expose, and if that got exposed than it would cause me lots of trouble and throw my administration into turmoil, and if my administration is in turmoil it's bad for the country, because I'm the only one who can save this country, therefore murdering my wife was for the good of the nation, and ergo an official act as President."

Why? We're just pontificating about the possible extremes of the SCOTUS decision. This has nothing to do with Trump in particular; Biden could also have gotten away with this.

Biden could have had trump killed under the reasoning of "his policies are bad for the nation, therefore i am protecting the nation, therefore this is an official act".

Wonder how many bodies would be found if a dozen or two cadaver seeking dogs were taken to a few select grid sections of the Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico deserts.
 
The good thing about the SCOTUS is they can change their opinion on something (such as presidential immunity). Could be a wild ride in their court system the next few years.
