Something something...national security...U.S. President Donald Trump has announced on social media he will be increasing tariffs on Canada by "10 per cent over and above what they are paying now" because of an advertisement by the Ontario government.
What a fucking child.
Something something...national security...
Only more evidence that we need other more reliable and stable partners. What a fucking child.
In addition, ask yourself this question, will those same Republicans let Trump get away with trying for another term in 2028…..
During the war, you can't have elections? So let me just see, three and a half years from now, if we happen to be in a war with somebody, no more elections? That's good,
I was expecting: ‘Since the Toronto Blue Jays have taken a 1 game lead I’m am imposing a further 10% tariff. If they win tonight, it will be an extra 20%.’More tantruming. He’s showing his hand though; he’s afraid SCOTUS will knock down his tariffs. He’s setting up the deflection ahead of time.

Maple MAGA have yet to grasp that Trump is not a conventional rational actor with whom one can negotiate in good faith. His observable behaviour can be fairly described as fickle, petulant, and tempestuous. Best realistic case we’re still stuck with him for at least three more years. We must assume the U.S. remains an utterly unreliable economic partner for so long as he’s in office or otherwise calling the shots. America’s trade practices can be expected to lack conventional rationality, maturity, or predictability so long as Trump is in the mix. Literally just quoting Reagan in an ad has him wailing and increasing tariffs by 10% because he’s butthurt. And extra 10% tax on his own citizens and businesses because the truth offends him.I remember maple maga talking about how our porous border was the cause of all of these issues with the USA...what was that...February? March?
Now it's ads during baseball games.
Have they failed to grasp or do they simply not care, and have never cared?Maple MAGA have yet to grasp that Trump is not a conventional rational actor with whom one can negotiate in good faith. We need to build all of the other external economic relationships that we safely can without compromising core national security interests.
I think that if he loses at the SCOTUS he will personally blame Canada.Good to know he thinks the SCOTUS decision can be swayed by a tv ad during baseball.
Vance would have asked for new electors instead of certifying 2020 election results
Trump’s current running mate said Pence “could have done more.”
Sen. JD Vance had previously stated issues with the 2020 election results and said he would not certify the 2020 results before being tapped as former President Donald Trump’s running mate in July.
I trust the President of the States will take this well.B.C. plans to launch its own anti-tariff ads even as Ontario paused its own campaign after U.S. President Donald Trump’s cancellation of trade talks.
In a series of social media posts, B.C. Premier David Eby said the ads will be aimed at an American audience “to explain who wins and who loses” with the tariffs.
“Americans need to hear how tariffs raise prices,” he said in one post. “We’re making ads to defend B.C. and Canada’s forestry workers. Our wood faces higher U.S. tariffs than Russia. Absurd. Truth will win!”
