Trump administration 2024-2028

I'm going to be charitable and say that the way that the above is worded makes me think they've (whoever decided this) confused Mass with the Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, which is a service that is done instead on that day as mentioned. The two can be easily be confused outside of Catholic circles.

It's still a big whoopsie if they didn't hold the Liturgy.

Probably a good question to ask JD this week.

The HuffPost article highlights the politicization of everything.

"I guess so the Catholics know their kind ain't welcome". Nice choice of frame when the writer already knew the mundane explanation (no Mass as such on Good Friday).

The question remains - who has using the Chapel for the other 22.5hrs in a day that was Good Friday?

It is not publicly available when no particular service is scheduled?
No clue if it’s publicly available but there are 22.5hrs remaining in the day.
I don’t see why others, Catholics, Methodists, Episcopalians, Baptists, etc could have booked their own services on that day.
Unless, unless all the others were prohibited from doing so….

Until the Pope stops disrespecting Trump, the Catholics will continue to be Trumpexorcised… 😉
Maybe the Pope should stop being so pious and trying to preach to everybody about what being a good Christian is? Show a bit more love and support for his president like a good American?

The only and only priest was out of town; on Easter weekend.

Maybe just step one in delegitimizing every faith organization outside of the Southern Baptist Convention.

Makes you wonder how well Hegseth and Vance get along.

Vance - the former Marine - seems to have been super quiet on Iran. I wonder if he’s been tactically distancing himself and his political profile from the war.

I was more wondering about their comparative religious affiliations. Hegseth is reportedly an adherent of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches. The CREC is heavy into Christian Nationalism. While not aligned with the SBC, they are both evangenical and rely on a literal interpretation of the bible.

Vance is apparently a fairly recent Catholic.

There still is a liturgy and a recounting of the Passion.

God-President Trump?
God president prime minister chancellor Trump?
the dictator film GIF by Head Like an Orange

Lots of praise for dictators, less so for long time allies again. Wouldn't be surprised if this further sours South Korea's relationship with the US.

And he's still got Greenland swimming in his head.

And a less serious (I think?) bonus:

Did RFK's brain worm migrate..?

According to a new book, Trump didn’t know Canada was a constitutional monarchy until King Charles told him that the crown would not be amused if the USA moved against BNA/Canada for a third time.

To be fair, I have American friends who didn't know either. But none of them are the President of the United States (yet?).

Not surprised to read this. But, after the Pearl Harbor crack, it sounds like Japan knows the only way to handle him is silence, and polite agreement.

Former Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba reportedly had this to say,

I met with Trump three times. If you tell him, ‘You’re wrong,’ he gets angry. If you say, ‘You’re wrong, let me correct you,’ he immediately starts shouting. You simply can’t say things like that. You have to keep telling him, ‘Yes, you’re right.’ If he suddenly gets angry, you’re in trouble.”
