Why? "Immigration control" in part means stopping "illegal immigration". They don't have to play word games ("migrant", "undocumented").Then they, the US Administration, needs to stop using the word ‘immigration.’

They've managed to invert that. By removing and encouraging self-removal of people in the country illegally, they've opened up job opportunities which have been filled by non-illegals. So there is more than one path, and they aren't obligated to choose one that pleases critics. And again- until they, the US Government, starts to fine, imprison and/or seize assets/companies from the Americans who are the ones employing/exploiting these illegals, the issue will never go away.
Remove the jobs that illegals do, the illegals will remove themselves.
Dude, if you think legal Americans are going to be picking strawberries or romaine lettuce out in the fields your head is in thebsand. They've managed to invert that. I don't know about specific jobs, but I have read the 30,000 foot numbers. The numbers of people trying to enter illegally are way down, exits are way up, and not all jobs are going unfilled. I doubt they're going to throw up their hands and declare defeat because strawberries and lettuce are going unpicked.Dude, if you think legal Americans are going to be picking strawberries or romaine lettuce out in the fields your head is in thebsand.

I remember reading reports out of California in spring 2009 when the US was going through their "Great Recession" and how some US politicians were trying to 'force' famers in California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and such to hire ONLY 'American' workers on their farms in order to drive down high unemployment and loss of homes and such and how the farmers were reporting back that they were only 'getting 1 or 2 Americans' applying for the farm labour jobs......As a result the farmers were begging to be allowed to hire the 'illegals' to work or there would be food shortages.United States Senator ( and former actor / song and dance man ) George Murphy , reportedly , put it this way regarding the Bracero program (a guest worker initiative for Mexican farm laborers).
"You have to remember that Americans can't do that kind of work. It's too hard. Mexicans are really good at that. They are built low to the ground, you see, so it is easier for them to stoop."
Weiss and Bilton are real journalists. Pelley reads news from a prompter. Actors don't have quite the same flex over writers in news as they do in movie studios.Trump-ing up 60 minutes...
Scott Pelley speaks: ‘CBS News is on fire’ and Bari Weiss should be removed
Scott Pelley says “CBS News is on fire” and the news division’s editor in chief Bari Weiss should be removed from her job.

That's why you have an effective guest worker program. Those people can come work legally, not be exploited by employers and can leave the country for family emergencies.I don't know about specific jobs, but I have read the 30,000 foot numbers. Brought to you by the party that hates the rewriting of history.
How “expert” can these folks be if they’re honestly mystified, given POTUS47’s … affinity to USSR 2.0?It appears certain people at the top may be having trouble swallowing this very much needed pill.
Trump drags feet on drone deal with Ukraine, mystifying experts
Op-Ed writer and book reviewer at the WSJ. Op-ed staff editor and writer on culture and politics at the NYT.Yes, serious. Weiss worked at NYT and WSJ
Good enough to be hired on at the NYT and WSJ. But the point is, as you wrote, editor and writer, not talking head. And she built a media business, which is a very relevant skill set not many people in the journo world promoted to executive positions ever have. If the best shot critics have is "her experience, defined by us, isn't enough for the role she was hired into" - an easily moved "No true Scotsman" goalpost when challenged on it - they have decisively lost. Plenty of prominent successful competent people fit that description.Op-Ed writer and book reviewer at the WSJ. Op-ed staff editor and writer on culture and politics at the NYT.
but not as a journalist, which is what you claimed.Good enough to be hired on at the NYT and WSJ.
Pelley is not a talking head. But the point is, as you wrote, editor and writer, not talking head
Good grief. "Journalist" covers the whole shooting match - investigative reporters, beat reporters, op-ed writers, sports writers, arts & entertainment, etc.but not as a journalist, which is what you claimed.
Sure, opinions vary.Pelley is not a talking head.
opinions do, but the facts are that he and his team have won multiple awards for journalism.Sure, opinions vary.
