As the title say:

WTB: One point sling C7A2

Or does anyone have any pros and cons on different ones. And what is prefer for most troops while in the sandbox.
Do you have to add a metal clip (doohickey) for it to attach correctly?

I"m only use to the old 3 point POS.. and the garrison 2 point deal. So any light into my Gucci kit slut hobby will be helpful.

Thanks,
TN2IC

Not all 1 point slings require a metal hook.

I don't have any experience with the one point slings that go around your body aside from that bungy one they issue overseas which I wasn't a fan of and it did chew the sh*t out of the sling mount.  In the past I used  a loop of 550/paracord and a d-ring now I'm using a Spec Ops Wolf Hook as well I'm using a BFG Vickers sling as a 2 point. Both are excellent slings IMO.

Browse around the USPX in KAF, depending on what the stock is like they will have different slings there, lots of Spec Ops brand ones. Or if you don't need the sling right now, you can order from One Shot Tactical, email them and I'm sure he can recommend you a good one out of his selection.

Yeh I"ve been eyeballing some at the PX while in Ft Drum. I will check out Darren's site again, and see what I like.

P.S. Nice avatar

Just look at the site. Now with the C7A2, do I reqr an aftermarket attachment for a one point sling? Like this?

I"ve been looking at this sling Any cons to the tubular nylon?

Thanks again,

Slings are kinda like women and cars;  Everybody has their own opinion about what they like or perceive to be the best.

With the single point bungee slings, alot of people like them for their ability to cross shoulder transition fairly easily, as well as have enough give for muzzle strikes, and to cushion the weight of the rifle due to the elasticity of the design.  If you're looking for a single point sling, make sure it has some sort of quick release buckle setup so you can separate the weapon from the sling, or the sling from your body in a hurry.

These are 2 new bungee single point slings we've recently come out with:

Yeh I have been looking at those yesterday too. BTW Matt, check your email please.

Any one try the CP Gear one yet?

The C7A2 already has the sling loop on it, so there is no need for another one like the Tango Down.

The TAG CQC sling is extremely popular and we go through about 50+ a month.  It goes almost as fast as the Vickers Sling.  The CQC sling has been purchase by a number of CF Units, LE Tac Teams, Private Security Teams and many individuals. None of these guys have ever demanded a quick release.

The Bunji in the CQC is the strongest on the market so there is no major "bouncing" like other bunji slings.

Both the Blue Force Gear and the TAG slings  have an Unlimited Lifetime Warranty.

All that said, I would advice against a single point sling unless you want to continually hold your weapon. Single point slings are good for constant shooting, but add in some patrols, guard duty, climbing or hands on situations and the two point sling becomes much more effective.

There are now a few adjustable two point slings on the market, and picking one for yourself comes down to features, price, quality, warranty and what out of those is important for you.

I'm quite biased and would recommend the Vickers sling, which is now issued to the RCMP. We also provide it to the Dutch for their weapons upgrade program, purchased and used by multiple CF units, LE Tac Teams, private security teams and used by almost all SF groups, and government agencies in the US.
