Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

Like his politics or not, Jean Chretien is a fucking gem lol. On CBC he just fielded a question in French and essentially said that there's some people who are pissed the fuck off about not getting cabinet haha. Too old to care about swearing.

Well Freeland comes to mind. The stories last evening were saying that she was dropped from Cabinet and then voila, those articles are no longer available for reading. So, was it true and she found out that way and raised a stink and was put back in or were they just someone's wet dream that she was gone and we'd not have to hear her whiney voice again.

I didn't always like his policies or ideas but I did; and still do, respect his love and dedication for Canada.

I find it hard not like a PM who will throw knuckles with a protester too.
I'd have to say that I think I'd laugh if I saw Pierre or Mark try and throw a punch.

I actually don't think it's a huge deal if Freeland is part of the cabinet. I think her resignation letter showed that she was not core author of the Trudeau government, but rather a useful tool being used (and abused) by it.

Guilbeault, on the other hand, has drunk the coolaid and I'm very disappointed that he's still going to a position.

Interesting portfolio for LeBlanc. Shows the PM's priority that the first Minister named is the US Canada trade and One Canadian economy minister. He'll be busy with those as well as PCO and intergovernmental.

Question - listening to the First Nations individual talking at the the beginning of the Cabinet swearing in process and what they have to say and my question is - Is there not a 'religious bent' to what she's saying, which could seem to tie Government and Religion together, placing one form of religious expression above all others in Canada?

She's a bit divisive - there may be as many people saying "the one who got thrown under the bus won't be the same as the thrower" as those saying, "meh - how long was she a collaborator until she was thrown under the bus?"

He should be out to really cut the ties w/Trudeau 2.0, for sure. LATE ADD: He, sadly, appears to be in the swearing-in row, though :(

Meanwhile, according to CPAC live, Champagne in as Fin Min, and Anand as foreign minister ...

Gilbeault as Min of Canadian Identity (no, not from The Onion or Beaverton) ....
