Trump administration 2024-2028

Or Canada shooting down a US airliner and claiming there was cocaine on board?
Take it one step further, most drugs and illegal guns in Canada come through the States. Would the Americans be cool if we started killing their citizens for the same rationale?
There is no Canadian precedent even close to the type of kinetic action that the US has taken in the latest escalation of the "war on drugs", not even during the Turbot War.

Ontario and BC are producing fentanyl and meth domestically at a surprising and rapidly increasing rate.

Maybe we could get the US to bomb some of those sites while they're at it.

A small gaggle of paranoid, politicians and their enraptured followers have decided that to uplift themselves, they need to paint everyone else who isn't them - including many of their own countrymen - as an enemy.

🍻

Nothing new about hate.

Apparently the morale of US Farmers hasn't improved, further beatings incoming. Maybe Argentina is the real 51st State?

700lb steers are selling for an average of 3800.00 at the yard. The North American cow herd is at its lowest since the 1950’s.
Purebred animals are even pricier. A recent sale in Saskatchewan had heifer calves selling for an average of $12,000.00 (helped along by five heifers selling for an average of $40,000.00.

Maybe all of those soy farmers should have kept the cows around vice living the winter high life of a Arizona trailer park?

Jesus, I remember when you’d be lucky to get $500 for that same steer…

Bred cows are at monster price right now and many an old cattlemen are cashing out. This bubble is going to burst soon because there is no way a young cattleman can grow their herd at these prices. Also feeders cannot make a buck and the processors have so cornered the slaughter market that they are paying the feeders peanuts.
Meanwhile the cost of beef at the store keep going up. Something gotta give.

Trump is going to start lamenting about people eating dogs again.

I find it very odd that that kind of massive and costly kind of renovation to the White House can just be done on the presidents say so without any kind of oversight from other stakeholders such as Congress or the GAO I believe its called or some other oversight body.

24 Sussex would like a word.

But yea, the idea that such an iconic symbol of the POTUS doesn’t have an independent body safeguarding its identity is odd.

Katarina Szluc has done some really great reporting on cartel presence and activity in Canada. She paints a grim picture.

For 105$ I got roughly 30 - 40 meals out of the deer I shot last week. And I still have a another deer and bear tag to fill. And that's not including small game.

Been a long while since I bought steak even at walmart.

I was at a Walmart in rural Pennsylvania last weekend to watch my daughters university soccer game. The price at that Walmart for ribeye steaks (not Angus) was 25.62$ US/lb, which is 56.34$ USD/kg with no currency conversion. Just checking my local Fortinos (owned by Loblaws) where I live and ribeye steaks are 57.30$ CAD/kg. Hamburger (lean) was pretty much the same, dollar for dollar. The cost of chicken at that Walmart, 3.97$ US/lb for boneless, skinless breasts, which is 8.74$ USD/kg. My Fortinos has it for 13.21$ CAD/kg - the US is about a 1$ CAD.kg cheaper.
