Depends how hard they want to push. But I think it would be hard to argue against any of the conditions/groupings I listed being reasonable grounds. The ammo one is by far the weakest.

I find that site very difficult to peruse. I like its EE and some of the stuff in the MILSURP sections, but as much as I can empathize with the situation it can get very vile and combative.

Why hire retired cops when you can hire cops to do it as a paid duty? That way police departments aren't enforcing it, just their officers doing side gigs -like paid security at a concert.

If a specific police service stands against the scheme, will they allow public resources (i.e. vehicles, equipment and facilities) to support it?

Secondly, many of the police unions are also standing against the scheme and a lot have sections of their collective agreements that govern paid-duty tasks such as this. If this comes to pass, I expect the unions would get more involved.

Gathering Int, sure. I'm guessing they did it with far more sophistication than the random guy popping in and asking what everybody is doing with their prohibs, seeing the vitriol sent their way, then peacing out.

Chances are, if the RCMP or others are on CGN, they are the under the radar guys who go-along-to-get-along and see what people are saying.
