The Great Gun Control Debate- 2.0

I find that site very difficult to peruse. I like its EE and some of the stuff in the MILSURP sections, but as much as I can empathize with the situation it can get very vile and combative.
I used to be a lot more active there, but I've stepped back in recent years, mostly perusing the news and images sections.

I swear, it seems every thread about Ukraine brings the tankies out of the woodwork.

CGN is an absolute cesspit of conspiracy thinking, and wackjob views of pretty much everything.

I poked into the OIC ban sub-forum, and regret wasting my time there.

There are users there convinced the government is sending in plants to ask questions about the buy-back, to encourage others to participate. Ignoring the reality that it's likely just people not terminally online who found the forum in a Google search, and have genuine questions.

If you ever want arguments in support of banning all firearms ownership in Canada, just spend a day on CGN...

If I was the RCMP and the LPC and I hated gun owning Canadians, I would put like minded officers in there.

Gathering Int, sure. I'm guessing they did it with far more sophistication than the random guy popping in and asking what everybody is doing with their prohibs, seeing the vitriol sent their way, then peacing out.

Chances are, if the RCMP or others are on CGN, they are the under the radar guys who go-along-to-get-along and see what people are saying.

I suspect they would be more like me. Have an account, don't say much and just observe.

There are two threads I like Milsurp Pic of the day and From the mind of bubba.

I do tend to get sucked into Enfield and Martini discussions. But those are more people like myself who are wood and iron purists. Almost no politics.

For me it’s the women in leather clothing thread (granted, I did start that thread).

Sir, I have no idea what you're talking about ;)
