One of the most enjoyable parts of the whole circus is how they kicked the deficit up to that number and then will pretend that by reducing it a little in future years they are being responsible.The 2026-27 deficit will be $13.3 billion, the largest deficit in B.C. history. That is being driven by provincial spending, which is up 40 per cent in five years.

Herein lies the problem with rampant "socialism": Its great til you run out of money.Let me fix the last line of your post for you:

The NDP haven't run out of other peoples money- yet. They have simply hit the bottom part of the far upper tier of the borrowing limit. So now they've started to raise taxes (by taxing everything) and that's the other peoples money they are going to run out of in about 10 years.
Sadly they will not be defeated in the next election even, or even the one after that.
Workers and consumers get most of the kick. Businesses pass costs along in pricing, automate jobs away, cut hours, and only sometimes absorb the costs themselves.Meanwhile, business gets another kick in the pills![]()
