Is there any actual evidence of malfeasance, or evidence of exceptional performance relative to any other company? 2 minute google search shows that Brookfield Corporation and Brookfield Asset Management combined would be the 3rd largest Canadian firm by market cap. They're in the top ten for assets under management in Canada, with broad portfolios. Any positive news and growth for Canada would benefit them, the same as every other major bank and asset manager.
But if you want to get real into the weeds, Brookfield Corporation is down 6.8% YTD and and Brookfield Asset Management is down a little more than 11%. I don't know how that squares with gangbusters. Please share actual evidence of corruption (are trade deals which the majority of Canadians have been asking for corruption because a major financial player may theoretically benefit like literally every major financial player?). Or try to back away from the cancer of tribalism in politics, which I'm convinced is 90% of the reason for his harshest critics on here hating on him. If he were blue they'd be singing his praises and we can all do better to be aware of that and try to be more objective.
EDIT: YTD was probably a poor choice since it's only the beginning of march. Brookfield Corporation is actually up over 7% over the last year, though BAM is down even more, 15% over the last year.
