Don't feel so comfortable. I realize there are lies, damned lies and statistics, but according to StatsCan, 'total drug violations' incident rate across Canada was 143.5/100K population in 2025. For Halton Region it was 4581.7.

To get a trade deal with the US, concessions will have to be made. People are probably okay with that until the concession impacts them directly.

The ask was for an example. I provided two. I know full well that I live in a bubble, I can clearly see this when I drive 20mins west to Hamilton where it reminds me more and more what I use to see in downtown Detroit when I lived back home in Windsor in the 80’s to early 90’s. Windsor looks more like Hamilton as well. The blight is evident.

As for Halton Region, back out Acton, Milton and G’town from those numbers. Acton has had major drug issues for decades. When I lived in the country side north of Georgetown the OPP routinely would fly spotter planes over my house looking for Weed cutouts in the middle of the massive cornfields all already us.

It comes to a point of who the hell cares what the USA is doing, we are doing very well for ourselves. As for CUSMA, who cares? Mexico has been nothing but appeasing to the USA and they don't have a deal. We have decided to be antagonistic and we don't have a deal. Turns out, nobody was going to get a deal and the Americans are not acting in good faith, so continue to diversify until the situation in washington changes.

Australia was a rare example of the US having an overall trade SURPLUS with them - but yet Trump still comes along and slaps a flat 10% on Australian exports to the US.
If that’s not a giant “f&ck you” to the Australians, I don’t know what is.

So adding tens of thousands of jobs a month, an economy on track for 3.4% growth. Seems we are on track to whether the storm pretty well with this US trade war.

Okay, so we are officially running hot in every economic metric that can possibly be measured.

I think this starts going past being circumstances and starts entering the realm of those in charge of the economy getting results.

I think the only part we are not doing the best is inflation being 2.8 percent, but even then, core inflation is at 1.9 percent.

If Carney can keep the economy performing like this going forward, Canada is going to be in a great place by the end of his term.

More like setting a red line, a last chance for the US to get something productive out of talks.

A certain someone does like his wins, even the empty symbolic ones.
