Tell me how a named company incorporated in - let's say Ontario - is any different from a numbered company when it comes to concealing beneficial ownership? Registration of company officers is part of the accessible corporate record, but you won't see the shareholding ownership until you have access to the company's own books which aren't available to everyone. The law basically states:Concealing beneficial ownership is not a prerequisite to limiting liability. It is however a handy tool when you want to take legally questionable financial actions.

That's the same for any private company registered in ON, whether numbered or named.
These laws are generally harmonized across Canadian jurisdictions. We don't control Delaware any more than we control Switzerland.
