Multiple air ambulance have been in and out, ongoing. A Herc appears to be inbound from Winnipeg.

Tracking on Flightradar shows multiple fixed wing air ambulances and STARS rotary from both Alberta and Saskatchewan. Story has gone active south of the Border

Europe/Asia covering it now.
Guardian, Deustch Welt, India.

I know what I’m hearing from sources I consider credble, and I know that’s being challenged from someone else I consider, individually, very credible. What I believe right now is the situation is fluid, the situation definitely sucks, we’ve probably lost troops, the most informed people aren’t here talking about it, we’re in an info lag and we’re all waiting for solid word and hoping for the least bad outcome against a lot of shitty indicators. So I’ll keep those affected in my thoughts and hope against hope for the best.

Frigl… Air MEDEVAC are still flying loops. STARS helicopter out of Calgary and fixed wing Saskatchewan air ambulance out of Saskatoon are both inbound to Wainwright now, and I think another fixed wing from Slave Lake. God this is bad.

Going to be a real bad look for Global News if the gas line / well explosion being the cause isn't true. It's been spreading like crazy on social media even before they reported it.
Agreed and I just can’t see that being true. Alberta had the same wind today that we had- very, very strong. An accidental grass or brush fire would hyper accelerate likely as fast as a guy could run. No other fuel required.

Edit: it’s Jeff Semple who is source author. Generally pretty decent reporter with good DND contacts.

I really hope it wasn't the fire spreading faster than people were able to get out...
