Mark and I went through DP1 together. He was a great guy who always saw everything in a positive way. From myself and the rest of the boys who went to the Strats we will miss you friend.
My mistake, sorry about that Darin.
I had never heard of the "waiting list" before. I thought there was only one list : the merit list.
Thanks for the infos Koach :)
The waiting list you are referring to is in fact called the "merit list".
When a candidate has completed all his tests his results are evaluated and his name is put on the merit list waiting for the next selection board for his MOC. The best are at the top of the list, the worst candidates at...
As GrahamD said, nothing you can really do to prepare yourself. They will take your blood pressure so try to be as relaxed as possible.
Don‘t worry it‘s very easy.
I agree with GirlFiredUP. Joining the regular forces is a commitement and theres no easy turning back after basic training.
Since you have a good job and especially since you have a family, you might want to try the reserve and see if it is indeed what you expected. A job with the regs could...

No GrahamD they do not call you to tell you your medical is cleared and that you have been merit listed. If you want to know what‘s going on with your file you NEED to call them. The only time you will receive a call is when something is missing in your file or when they have a job offer for...
Hey Koach can you tell me if you can actually see a candidate standing on the merit list when you pull up his file or any of his marks at a given test (CFAT and interview). I tried to ask about my standing on my last call to CFRC Montreal but could not get any specific answer.
Going to work from 9 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, only thinking about you next vacation days, not being particularly proud of your job, facing a minimal ammount of challenges, making very little difference and having a minimal impact on your society. Why would you want a life like that...
Phew it‘s been a while since I posted here.
Im in the same boat as pretty much all of you guys. I‘ve been in the recruiting process for 2 years now. Had a bunch of problems with lost documents and a medical problem due to my poor vision at the time.
I‘ve been on the merit list since last...
Hey congrats Kusiak ! I must say the idea did zip trough my mind but im proud to be canadian and I dont think I ever would be able to feel at home in another country‘s army.
Im not trying to hijack your post but there‘s something I always wanted to know and need to ask :) How can a...
I dont believe they would lie to you. If you absolutly need the proof there might be a way to know. Here at the Montreal recruitement center the recruiters have a document with all the trades on it and it says if they are closed or not. It even says, if the trade is partially open, wich...
