Well, I was right about the 14 Nov course. We'll see about the one in the new year.

Rumors are that new QL3 courses are starting on 14 Nov 05 and around 9 Jan 06, a dozen and a half new people arrived in the last couple days, they'd be the 14 Nov people.

We graduate 23 March .. that's next Wednesday We started with 57, 45 are graduating. w00t

yeah.. I heard rumors that my trade has to do SQ .. I guess I'll find out week 10. Things are going well, week 6, we're starting to run downhill now.

I think POET is the advanced electronics course that is part of some electronic and communications occupations. LCIS and ATIS for sure.

Finish high school. (I don't think you can get in without grade 10) Take classes you like. That's my advice.

I know exactly what you mean. I think I remember seeing that video on the CFLRS site.. but it's gone, I think. I'd like to check out that video too, I'll let you know if I find anything.

On the application form I filled out in June, you get to select which element you'd like to be in. I picked air, I was put in sea. I imagine it's based on availability then preference.

Are the whites considered work dress? When do you wear them? Say someone gets recruited into the COMM RSCH trade and gets put in the sea element, what would he wear on a day to day basis if he's posted somewhere in Ottawa nowhere near a boat.. hypothetically speaking of course  :)

The course starts on a Tuesday, the Monday before the course starts is used to get everyone on site and other stuff.

Wow, that is golden information kincanucks. Great advice too. I'm almost done the recruiting process, so it's not too valuble to me, but is extremely valuble to everyone just starting. Thank you for visiting and sharing your insight on this board.
