Very few trees were planted, and the little work that was done was outsourced. No accountability, no ability to enforce, needs to be funded again. Also, the 3.1 billion federal program was originally costed at 5 times per planned tree more than the forest industry spend per plant.
This is why companies and not the government must perform the job, or it wonβt get done.
