If the Democrats or the post-Reagan Republicans in the WH wanted those things, they could have had them. Apparently they did not want them very much. And then apparently the voters decided, given an opportunity, that they wanted neither Democrats nor post-Reagan Republicans in the WH.

Walz better tell her to go swallow that pair of boots, did she not think this wouldn't get immediately released publicly? Everyone knows the reason why they want the voter rolls and it has nothing to do with immigration or ensuring "fair" elections.

Apparently from what I've been seeing and heaing from friends in Minneapolis is Maga types are having a difficult time wrapping their heads around the concept that the 2nd amendment applies to every American citizen . And by extension of course so does the rest of the US Constitution.

The odd thing about a potential NG deployment against Federal agents is the weird position it would put the senior members of the NG where they are technically State level, but they certainly have a significant amount of Federal oversight.

The situation doesn't exist in Canada, but it would be like trying to figure out if your main alegence is to HM the King in Right of Canada or HM the King in Right of Ontario.


It has a very Game of Thrones feel to it, but the courts can influence who can call the banners.

Clearly this group of ICE officers are out of control. And I mean the entire ICE brigade sent to Minnesota needs to be redeployed somewhere else for retraining. But this administration will never admit they are doing something wrong and more people will die as a result.

That is exactly how it works when you are deployed in aid to civil powers in Canada, Kilted.

For Octoberfest (FLQ crisis), the troops in Quebec answered to the Crown in right of Quebec, that is the Lt-Governor as advised by the Premier, under the supervision of the Quebec Minister of Justice. The troops deployed in Ottawa remained under the Crown in right of Canada.

For the Oka crisis, again we took our orders from the Government of Quebec Department of the Attorney General.

For the Ice Storm deployment, our orders came from the Governments of Quebec and Ontario, respectively. Same for the Winnipeg floods where they came from the Government of Manitoba.

Obviously, in each of these cases, these governments were advised by high ranking military officers on employment of the military forces at their disposal.
