Pretty sad statement on your part. I met some pretty decent Alberta Sheriffs who are excellent at their jobs. Comparing them to a mall security guard is pretty low. Everyone has their own opinion I guess.

Sorry but long ago I came to the conclusion that Danielle Smith is political opportunist of the first order.
It tends to color my views concerning her and almost any stand or project she gets involved in.

Not fair to the sheriffs to characterize them that way. Their scope of duties remains relatively limited for now, but they’re armed peace officers hitting the road each day. They roll the dice each shift like the rest of us, and more than some.

Maybe I'm out of line here and perhaps a bit unfair to the Alberta Sheriff's.
But I'm fairly certain that Danielle Smith will attempt to use it for her own political ends .

That was Lethbridge police. (Now that we have a provincial police service, I want to clarify it wasn't us!)

Honestly they should have been.
The amount of stuff the members of that police service get away with that the public doesn't know about is literally unbelievable.
I know a handful of good cops in Lethbridge, but holy hell...
There's a reason why they aren't called Lethbridge Regional Police Service anymore. (When the Coaldale Police Service was disbanded due to corruption & poor performance, Lethbridge shouldn't have scooped them up)
