I'd say no...but for many the thought of anyone but the party they know (despite changing many times under the same color of coat) is akin to devil worship.
I will give them credit...they are the only party in my voting lifespan that has offered a complete set of candidates for an election. Where they lack however is being extremely urban focused and they don't have supporting volunteers/campaign staff that the UCP does. UCP are constantly campaigning it seems when it comes to donations, presence at trade shows etc...NDP is very quiet.

No, they are pro pipeline, and even Notley heavily distanced her self from the federal NDP policies, openly being critical of them. Nenshi hasnt gone thst far yet but he isnt anti oil either.

It seems that Nenshi has pulled back the PR/ campaigning/fundraising activities. They were in the news a lot more when Notley was running the show.
Don't forgot she originally protested against the pipelines and any and all oil and gas. Then 3 months into the program realized where the money comes from for all things nice in the province.
By then between the Federal Gov and Provincial of Ab and Bc they had driven out much of the investment into the process turning billion dollar projects into tens of billions of dollars.

Those go back to 2017. I cannot find a source of her protesting pipelines or oil and gas. Can you provide a source? The idea she was somehow in league with Trudeau while pulling out of his climate plan is also a bit odd frankly.

UCP currently hold 48 of the 87 seats in the legislature; they have a buffer of five seats on their majority. Usually that would be a pretty comfortable margin. In these circumstances? They’re gonna need some very tight party discipline.
IMO a provincial election with this as an issue should absolutely transpire before any referendum-on-a-referendum. Let the separatists demonstrate they can put in place a party capable of commanding the confidence of the legislature through all the necessary ‘next steps’ should they win the first vote.
I have no idea if the UCP face any risks to party unity, but it’s gonna become damned hard to be an open federalist in that party- and anyone who is likely knows they have little to no political future within the caucus. Will some UCP federalists break with the party to save their own hide, or even out of a larger question of principle?

Quick Google-fu showed me as far as "protesting," only open-source I could find is AB's now-Premier saying "Rachel Notley rallying against climate change with Greenpeace and the Sierra Club, standing with protestors bearing signs that said “No Tarsands No Tankers No Pipelines No Problem”?," and linking to an article that isn't there anymore (even at archive.org). She's spoken as an MLA at anti-oilsands events (this from 2010) - I'll let folks pick the nits on "worry about oilsands" versus "don't want pipelines"
In terms of positions on projects, it looks case-by-case. Notley and Jagmeet didn't see eye to eye on TransMountain in 2019 (she was for, he was against). Notley appeared to be a fan of Energy East around 2017 & said she was disappointed at it being cancelled. Northern Gateway got a "no, thanks" from her in 2015 or so because of, according to her statements, environmental and Indigenous concerns.

Sadly, since this is a question about whether to ask another question, and the law applies to the second question, makes some sense.
That said, I’d be hugely surprised if NOBODY takes this up with a judge at some level.

Im certain someone will try just as i am as certain it will go nowhere.
That said, we have a question on the ballot. Let's get the answer of how for or against separation Alberta is.
I really dont think it's that close, even with a soft question. Canada side wins, UCP breaks apart, NDP win the next few elections while conservatives try to decide what kind of conservative they are.

Its funny how much of Notleys early time as a premier videos and such has upped and disappeared. After taking office she had a hard stance of no more Oil and gas production (I think she thought gas meant gasoline). She put specific people into place who were anti oil and gas, She herself attended a few rally's against the oil and gas industry.Sharing link

Check this link out for snap shot of her suppoort for the oil and gas community. Shortly after she took office she had a meeting with a few Top Canadian Oil Execs who set her straight on where the money comes from to fund all the projects the NDP wanted to have. She magically turned around and went on the partial defense of pipelines and the oil and gas industry.
By that time between her, the Bc premier and Trudeau they had put so much doubt in the industry that the pipeline companies had scaled back to next to nothing. It got worse not better.
I know I lost my job early 2016 due to her flip flop and support of Trudeaus agenda. Companies who had weathered the previous storms had shut their doors. Billion dollar projects were shelved across the Oil and gas community. After spending the time and money to get them going. A few of them have still not seen the light of day since then.
I watched a company spend 100 million dollars on equipment for a project get shelved last minute. We were in finale testing waiting for the roads to firm up to get some of the biggest well servicing equipment in Canada into location. Canned due to the uncertainty. Then I watched that company shut it doors mid job making millions. Why because our premier at time could not make her mind up who she supported at the time.

Your only source is a UCP video? Yeah seems like an unbiased source lol. Surely the struggles of the oil and gas industry couldnt have been a result of oil dropping from 110 to 30 a barrel in 2015 right?
