C7A2 short barrel??

Sorry guys another question from the annoying kid. The M4 like weapon used by our troops overseas is known as the C7A2 Short Barrel is there any difference between it and the C8? I'm asking you guys because I've never handled anything other then a C7 or C9.

P.S. Again I'm just asking out of curiosity guys and gals.
