Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

I wonder how much work it would encompass to go from the civvie variant to the military variant?

Isn’t this helicopter made in China as well? How many parts are sourced in China? Any of the electronics?

Feds want a domestic 'guncotton' plant:

I don't know the science but there is a lot of 'standing dead' out west because of the Pine Beetle.

We have a 'dynamite site' in North bay that is only partially used and is rail served.

Most of the marketable beetle wood was gone awhile ago.

The big issue now is a lack of available volume due to government policies putting it beyond reach, and losses due to wildfires.

Made in canada griffin replacement?

instead of Bell in Mirabel? I could just imagine the screaming.

I feel for the nTACS folks. The DIS has definitely scrambled the math. Much more for them than And this adds to it. Rumint says Bell has offered to assemble MV-75s in Mirabel.

Add to all this the CA reform and reorganization which changes the tasks for and capabilities required of Tac Avn.

I'm going to guess. Second Chinook squadron in Edmonton. Two regular and one SOF MV-75 squadrons (Borden, St-Hubert Per). Three attack helo squadrons (Edmonton, Per, Valcartier) and Conversion of Cyclone to H175. And respective OTUs (Gagetown and Halifax).
