Lockheed Martin Canada's CMS 330.
Other than that, great shout-out for CMS 330.
That's being replaced by a new light frigate class known as FF(X), which will be based on the US Coast Guard’s HII Ingalls Shipbuilding Legend-class National Security Cutter design. So, I still think this is being aimed at CDC, unless there is another NA frigate program (Mexico perhaps?).

Based on that Naval News article, it claims the GMF140 is designed to integrate US sourced primary radar options, with AEGIS Combat System; and 64 Strike-Length Vertical Launch System (VLS) cells, and CMS330 Combat Management System targeting North American naval projects?

The USN has already selected a modified Legend-class National Security Cutter (NSC) design for their new FF(X) frigates (and CMS-330 is not likely of interest to USN).
And at 6,000 tons and 140 meters in length the GMF140 is very oversized for a Canadian Continental Defence Corvette.
Its a bit puzzling as to what Rheinmetall have in mind. Could they be:
- speculating USN may switch from its new FF(X) frigate design, or
- speculating Canada will either upscale its Canadian Continental Defence Corvette, or
- speculating Canada will replace later batches of its Type-26 River Class design?
I can't help but think either the NavalNews article has mistated Rheinmetall's intent, or Rheinmetall is rolling the dice on a long shot.

Quick Google search shows no sign of a Mexican naval frigate program, and the US is developing the FF(X), so I think this is aimed at CDC. Like I mentioned in my original post, this suggests the Germans are under the impression the 105m restriction may have been lifted.

... so its not specifically aimed at North America. Makes me speculate that some naval/military news editors were having some fun with a spin view of their own.
