Islamic Terrorism in the West ( Mega thread)

The group is designated a terrorist organization by the UK. They clearly have pro terrorist rhetoric, calls for violence and at a time when we can't afford radicalization as it's a serious threat here at home, why do we drop the ball in labeling this group for what they are. Terrorists.
(Sarcasm) Because they vote liberal? But seriously, they represent a large group of voters (Muslim) and declaring them a terrorist group might cause the more moderate Muslims, which is most of them, to vote for the conservatives and the liberals have a penchant for doing nothing about problems while hoping that they will just go away

One could also ask the other three eyes of the Five Eyes why they don't declare them, either.

As others smarter than me have said upthread, if they're going to meet in the open, might as well soak in the int juice and share it around.

It may simply be that the intelligence and evidence does not support a terrorist entity listing under our law. I don’t know enough about them to say, but the ideological/political component is only part of the criteria under s. 83.05; the actual terrorist activity component has to be present too.

This determination can be made using all source intelligence, so if there’s a lack of a listing it’s not a matter of the usual intelligence to evidence dilemma.
