Cochrane is a fair moderator. I doubt anything called “CBC watcher” will have a fair assessment of him or anyone else on CBC.

An yet the whole interaction with the entire panel isn’t posted just that one. Like I said. He’s a fair moderator.I mean the video is there for all to see. In it's pure unadulterated form.
Generally I agree, he's been fair. But his Maritime generational Liberal soul leeches out every now and again.

lol. Some people upset about that last EKOS poll.
Even with the EKOS poll removed it didn’t shift much. This is why I tend to trust aggregates a bit more than any one poll even if a poll could have used decent methodology.Ya it definitely cause a whirlwind on X.
His powers are limited and not infinite. To what exactly are you referring to?
i didnt see anything in the above that really evidenced a real limitso MP's are no longer MP's once dissolved so theres no calling them back but Ministers are still Ministers and the PM is still PM
we dont seem to have had a lot of situations worth commenting on
Joe Clark refused to sign the Hornet contract during the election
and a Harper Minister Lawrence Cannon consulted with the opposition prior to Libya talks
edit a more in depth discussion with a few more examples
Was going to post that. Ontario seems to be shifting and that seems to match that crazy EKOS poll last week.
Worth a view
This should not be a surprise. A few of us were saying he was going to stretch this out. His party is not ready for an election.I used to think Jagmeet was a stand up guy. Now I'm not sure who is a worse person, Trudeau or him.
Yup. Called it. He's still softballing it, but we all see it for what it is. I know I'm a broken record at this point, but the parliamentary math has not changed. This should not be a surprise. A few of us were saying he was going to stretch this out. His party is not ready for an election.
an additional 6 months won't do a thing to change that. If (when) he walks back on his intent to vote non-confidence his party will bleed out whatever support he had to the extent that maybe even Manitoba would abandon him. Plus giving Trudeau's successor a chance to introduce legislation could be extremely risky. Right now, he might gain some support from the liberal side a few bread crumbs scattered by the new broom will definitely swing that support back. This should not be a surprise.
