Are you familiar with a blind trust? It's not an amnesia ray, you don't magically forget what you put into it. A beneficiary can leave general instructions on what they want, and it's absolutely unheard of for a trustee to unilaterally liquidate the holdings in a trust.
My biggest question is why? Their motivation is supposedly from Trudeau backing out of electoral reform, something Poilievre had no involvement in and never promised. And they didn't target any other leaders' ridings.Also, these clowns are at it again…

It's almost as if their electoral reform "protest" is a cover for trying to stymie Poilievre.
Not really. They’ve targeted other bi elections before. This happens to be the only upcoming bi election and it is high profile.
If Carney’s riding had been announced earlier, they would have been there too.
Unless Poillevre voters can’t pick his name out of a list, this does nothing to stymie anyone. It is performative with most of those extra names getting a single digit number of votes.
Sort of. As governor he had a lot of deep insight into the economic impacts of Brexit and he was banging that drum. But he also wasn’t simply an advisor there to tell others what they thing to inform just their decisions. He was, separately and independently, the very senior executive running an institution that independently sets certain financial policy, and that has a role in balancing out the economic impacts of other things the government does. A better example might be Chrystia Freeland as Finance Minister, who did have a portfolio to run, and was responsible for advising the PM, but who was also expected to shut up in public and be loyal to his decisions once made. There were clearly some strong disagreements there, and we know how that played out.

Thr Conservative Party seems to be completely compromised with MAGA and Russian info ops. We have one of the most secure election systems on Earth and there is no evidence of fraud but yet, here we are with them being spoonfed to believe there was some sort of fraud, very MAGA indeed.
