Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

Carney held a meeting with two dozen CEOs and heads of the energy sector in calgary. Instead of talking to Smith went right to industry and what they want.

Cut the middleman right out of the picture.
Classic business movie, go right to the ‘User’ and ask them what they need to get their job done.

I’m sure those who’ve already committed themselves to being anti-Carney will find things to object to,

He seems pretty clean to me. The only things I've found which might make Conservatives and the French poopy are:

1. He supported a North Korean sponsored UN resolution against Israel about Palestine - which was apparently met with backlash from Canadian lawmakers and human rights advocates for aligning with an authoritarian regime; and

2. Concerns about the underrepresentation of French speaking diplomats in key positions within Global Affairs Canada. They had a bunch of French employees but senior roles were predominantly English.

Overall pretty tame compared to what we're used to seeing.

Perhaps, but currently it is 'community' (singular) for Manitoba. Although nothing is etched in stone, the federal government's responsibilities to its territories are different than that of its provinces.

No answers, and no clue how fresh water ice differs from salt water ice, but Lake Superior seldom freezes completely. The Seaway closes for a couple of months each winter primarily because of ice in the locks/straits/narrows/harbours of the system.
The Hudson Bay is brackish so it does freeze but it freezes slower than freshwater. With regular icebreaking operations, it shouldn't be unreasonable to maintain a corridor. The big problem would be the way out of the Bay. Hudson Strait is pretty narrow and I imagine it ices up quick.

Clearly the answer is cargo submarines

Not to worry by the time that the rage merchants are done . You'll be hearing stories of how Carney cuts up babies to sprinkle over his morning Cheerios.
Welcome to politics in the internet age.

He’s already the WEF’s designated baby-eater, so they’ll need some new material.

The "derangement syndrome" goes both ways :)

Meanwhile, a bit of one off-the-street-into-cabinet appointee's history comes to light ....
From back in the day (2019)....

Guess which infrastructure is considered critical, but not nation-building enough for fast-tracking?

Typical municipal infrastructure isn't nation-building. Almost all communities in or adjacent to existing municipalities and metro areas already do pretty well for infrastructure. What does that leave for the sum of the population with the kinds of requirements listed, I wonder? We don't have enough funds to avoid triaging projects for maximum benefit.
