I'm thinking Ms Perry was also staying at the InterContinental New York Barclay hotel where she accidentally bumped into Trudeau and gave him musician advice for his son who is an aspiring rapper. If you're insinuating what I think you are, then all I can say is, on a personal level, it worked out really well for the former PM.
A very opportune meeting of the minds for the still, as far as we know, married PM that day.I'm thinking Ms Perry was also staying at the InterContinental New York Barclay hotel where she accidentally bumped into Trudeau and gave him musician advice for his son who is an aspiring rapper.
This could be the big sacrifices Carney was talking about. The workers are investing in Canada's future.![]()

Not surprising. We’ll see how they plan to do it on Tuesday.
I have no doubt that the sacrifices will include program cuts and I would not be surprised to see something with OAS.This could be the big sacrifices Carney was talking about. The workers are investing in Canada's future.

Start with voluntary departures with incentives.
cut anyone with over 35 years
Reclassify a bunch of positions
Merge units and business lines while dumping redundancy
That actually gets me wondering...And hire the right consultants to help out with that

Going to be interesting what the snowbird numbers look like come winter, but based on everything seen this year, I dont think the sunbelt states will be having a good timeCanada’s tourism sector generated a record-breaking amount of revenue of between May and August, reaching $59 billion, a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
Most of the revenue was the result of Canadians choosing to spend their travel dollars within the country, as domestic tourism was up seven per cent. Revenue from international travellers remained strong, particularly from overseas markets, which increased by 10 per cent, according to new figures released by Destination Canada on Thursday.

Yup. Nothing recreational in the U.S. attracts me enough to give them my travel money discretionarily at present or for the foreseeable future. In the past few years on various vacations I’ve road tripped from Ottawa to Vancouver Island, PEI, and Cape Breton. We have so much to see and do here.I have seen lots of advertisements directly aiming at getting Canadians to come back.
Personally, I have no issue traveling to the US; I also don't have a reason too at the moment.

A lot of places taking economic hits and their other sources like Europeans ate not coming either. I did read that Florida though is trying hard to increase their numbers by targeting Brazilians who are I think the second biggest number after Canada.I have seen lots of advertisements directly aiming at getting Canadians to come back.
