Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

AUPE also begins voting today on striking. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but would this not make the count 3 out of 4 healthcare unions in Alberta wanting to strike on top of all this?

Shouldn't this be in the Albert Gov thread ?

A lot of places taking economic hits and their other sources like Europeans ate not coming either. I did read that Florida though is trying hard to increase their numbers by targeting Brazilians who are I think the second biggest number after Canada.

And the only men who wear less than the Quebecois in a Speedo.

Was it for outdoorsy stuff?
The first time yes. Did a Yukon Alaska trip.

The second time was a cruise to Alaska. Great trip.

Two road trips to Gettysburg, Vegas once, New York, Disney Cruise and park in Florida and a few trips to see family in SC (did not like that place when I went).

Not counting the many work related trips but those don’t count.

Start with voluntary departures with incentives.

cut anyone with over 35 years

Reclassify a bunch of positions

Merge units and business lines while dumping redundancy
Voluntary departures may be all the people that are actually useful and burnt out.

Lot of the people in the long service time (including lot of veterans) that are critical for getting all the new people sorted, and institutional knowledge

Why?

Sure, but the people that can typically win those kind of arguements may be empire building wanna be mandarins, not actual useful business lines that are critical to get stuff done. Also, if you are somewhere that still has redundancy, vice less than minimum needed, you may be a unicorn.

And it won’t get better for them. Not with the kind of cuts that are anticipated,
Lot of the people in the long service time (including lot of veterans) that are critical for getting all the new people sorted, and institutional knowledge
If that knowledge hasn’t been passed on after the 35 years they’ve been in then maybe they are the empire builders. That’s a knowledge transfer problem.
Reclassify? Because we likely have directors doing manager work and so on. Levels may not be appropriate for certain jobs. Assess and calibrate appropriately.

Possibly, but DRAP 2.0 or random cuts won’t work.
