Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

Hubris is my only explanation. I hate to throw in my hat either certain factions, but perhaps a dismissal the political waste land is what's required to reset things.

On a related note, and a surprising one.

Canada should not have an election before reviewing CUSMA trade deal, says Poilievre

I'm also getting the feeling he really didn't like what Jivani did earlier.

When asked whether he's considered going to Washington, Poilievre said he "always believed in the rule of one prime minister at a time."

"And what I wanted to allow was for the government of the day to have enough room to operate and negotiate on behalf of Canada. And I never wanted our country to be divided," Poilievre said.

If I was PP I wouldn't want an election right now either.

1) Time is not on PMMC or the LPCs side. And election with a landside victory for the LPC give them more of it. So PP needs to prolong this Gov.

2) He knows he's a cooked chicken if (when) he looses an election called with the current polling.
