Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

They never had a 20 point lead against the Liberals when Carney became Prime Minister. They had it against the Trudeau Liberals. Been stated like 20 times already, hell even CBC doesn't say that crap anymore. If you believe Kory Tenyecke, you better get your head on straight, he is a LOBBYIST openly lobbying the federal LPC for several companies.
so PP couldn't sustain the CPC lead over the Libs once Carney became PM, and they still expect him to beat MC in a future election?

It's disingenuous. The minute Trudeau signaled he was leaving the CPC immediately started dropping in the polls. The majority of Liberal and NDP voters were hardly serious about actually voting the CPC.

Here we go again. First lets look at history, Harper beat Martin in 2006, how was that possible? Didn't he lose in 2004 to the same guy?

Add to that the lovely media coverage Carney enjoys (and the subsidies or in case of the CBC, the funding has nothing to do with that), and look at how basically the whole Liberal platform is "Vote for us because Trump is bad"

There is some truth to that. As warren Kinsella said before, during and after last election, it was all about the public's perception of how to handle Trump. Carney was an unknown.

Tell you what. Don't vote Conservative then. We choose our leader in 2022 and we re-affirmed in January after losing the last election.

Funny, if the Liberals are so confident about beating him, why do they and the paid for media get so obsessed about removing him?

probably because to many hes not likable

Lets see. In the past decade, the Liberals had everyone flocking together because
-Climate Emergency
-COVID Emergency
-Trump emergency

Also a crisis that we all need to rally around the Liberals. Just don't ask what they actually accomplish, what the plan going forward is, how much it will cost, who is paying for it, in fact, just don't ever look at the details in fine print.

And never mind bringing up the Arrive Scam, green slush fund, the growing deficit, etc. Just be a good patriot and stand by the Liberals.

Excuse me for not default trusting the Liberals.

youll have to hope theres no emergency in 2032/33 then

as long as the liberals continue with their actions in regards to firearms laws i'm going to vote conservative. I just would like a leader who could actually lead them to a win.
Ever hear of manufacturing a narrative? Or a whisper campaign? It doesn't matter who you put in charge, the Liberals and the paid for media will go on a mud slinging campaign against WHOEVER is the new leader.

Pierre ain't that bad, otherwise Carney would not be poaching some of his ideas.

In the military you may like or dislike your leaders, it doesn't matter. Its their competency you want. Ditch the emotions already, it is a huge Canadian weakness.

oh no not THE MEDIA!! boo fucking hoo. I guess the buck stops elsewhere when it comes to PP.

True statement.
The issue with PP or anyone following him is if Carney continues to hold the middle ground and even moves ‘right’ on the correct issues, it will be dam hard for the CPC to upset the apple cart.
Will be interesting to see if Carney cuts some taxes in the middle class - those making 80-140k a year as a family unit - if he does and strengthens some family oriented plans, the CPC will have a tough time.

THE MEDIA!!
So when even Bob Fife (who is NOT a Pierre Poilievre fan by a long shot) and a few other prominent journalist have even called out for an ending to subsidies for media (he says it changes the reporting)

I agree. If Carney produces excellent or even just good results, Pierre is toast. He has no reason for anyone to vote for him. I would love to be the fly on the wall in Carney's office, I suspect (and just a guess) that there are other factions within or support the LPC that are hindering him or being an obstruction. At least Guibeault, soon to be an ex-MP, was open about his disagreement

So PP bears no responsibility for the CPC performance in the election or for the fact that under his leadership the CPC lost MPs and gave the Liberals a majority.

Believe what you want. If you don't think the Liberals have played some of the dirtiest politics going, then so be it.

It has been brought up several times, switch leaders and the name bashing campaighn starts all over again. Either you see it or you don't.

Do you have a CPC membership? If not, get one and you can have a direct say in future leadership votes.

You say this like the CPC didn't completely eviscerate Ignatieff and Dion.

Seriously the woe is me, victim complex surrounding the CPC right now is not doing them any favours.

Ignatieff was so unappealling, he sank the LPC to third place. Dion gave Harper a good run for the money, he kept Harper at a minority.
Are you saying the CPC didn't bash Dion or Ignatieff?

You're acting like the CPC did run attack adds against Dion, Ignatieff and Trudeau.

Nice hair anyone?
