Liberal (Minority/Majority) Government 2025 - ???

To steal from Angry Kory on another podcast, funny how people seem willing to vote for provincial Team Blue franchises, but not the national one.
That's because they aren't "franchises". The federal Conservative party is not connected to any provincial party.

Only the NDP is unified at all levels, and the Liberals only have the Nova Scotia Liberals as a provincial wing.

Jivani speaks out. From Northern Perspective (gasps those awful far right rage baiters, oh my!)

Jivani angling for the job of LOO
Definitely. He's putting himself out there way more than can be explained otherwise. Remember, he's not even part of the CPC shadow cabinet. Jivani's only been in Parliament since spring 2024. He's managed to get a ton of visibility in that time, by parliamentary standards he's quite young, and he's used to having some attention on himself. This is a dude who's gonna push hard, probably help shove the knife in, make a run for leader, and probably gonna flame out.

If the Canadian Alliance CPC membership votes him in to replace Poilievre, I would probably consider getting a membership in the Liberal Progressive Conservatives.

By not clamping down on this guy’s freelancing, Poilievre is looking weak. This isn’t the first time he’s let some of his kookier MPs run their mouth or make questionable initiatives counter to the position of the CPC, or embarrassing to the party, and gone radio silent. And it seems only restricted to certain members, not the caucus as a whole.

This is part of what doomed Reform/the Canadian Alliance to a low ceiling: MPs “going off the reservation” and leadership not doing anything in to reign in the bozo eruptions.

But if the few sources I still have in the CPC are correct anybody but the chosen many to use a phrase used by a friend still inside the party. If you were an old PC supporter .
You'd get stomped on .
There's a concern that the party is slowly becoming Maga North.

I am in with our local CPC EDA and I will tell you from our angle of the world, lots of bullshit is being spread around about Conservative infighting. Its horseshit. And the CPC is very aware of the propaganda campaign. Kory Teneycke is about as conservative as I am a green party supporter (I was long time ago but not at all now).

NOW, a REAL problem that actually exist is getting federal conservatives to cooperate with Ontario and Nova Scotia brands of conservatives And yes, we are separate entities unlike the NDP).

Ever heard of a whisper campaign? Thats all it is. Pierre got 87% support at the last leadership convention, its done.

If Carney succeeds, Pierre will fail as CPC leader and have to resign. If Carney fumbles, Pierre will be staying right where he is. Carney is at a huge advantage right now, I hope he knows how to exploit it.

On the other hand if he clamped down on his freelancing Poilievre would be called weak for muzzeling his MPs and being afraid of what they're saying.

Harper clamped down on the freelancers/bozo eruptions and brought message discipline to the party. They started winning after that.

Being able to balance that appropriately is a pretty classic test of effectiveness in party leadership.

On this we agree. Pierre is walking a really tight rope and has zero room for error.
He has some room for error; they all do any nobody generally nails this perfectly. But yeah, it’s not a lot for a guy in the position he’s in.
