5 months!? you lucky son of a bitch.
It took 10 for me.

Hey! 10 months for me too!

and not expecting CADPAT for another 10.. :cam:

I think I‘m the title holder for fastest peacetime recruitment: 3 weeks from handing in the paperwork to being sworn in... on basic training about 4 days after that.

you did all that in less then a month‘s time, wow, I wish mine was that fast, but, better 5 months then 10

Does anyone know when the next JLRC is held at St. Jean? I have my interview coming up and if possible I‘d like to get the physical and medical done ASAP after that.

Also, I‘ve been going to CFRC Hamilton for all my appointments. Would it be bad form to go to Toronto if they can book appointments any sooner?

***EDIT**** sorry... had a brain fart....

i‘ve posted this question again in the recruiting forum. I have linked it here for your convenience. :)

talk to your CFRC, or your Recruiting officer(if PRes)

an Fusaki, dont ask questions in my thread, make a new one for yourself

anyways, back on topic

I also went to CFRC Hamilton. I applied in first week of October for Infantry, and leaving this Sunday for St. Jean. Under four months for me.

I had to wait a week between all of my tests in Hamilton. So, took me about a month to get it all squared away.

Would it be faster in Toronto? Hamilton is a big city and the wait between each test was a fair amount, so what will Toronto be like?

I have read from a few people on this board that they did all the tests in one day. I imagine the smaller CFRC can do them faster, due to less applicants.

please, refrain from asking recruiting questions in my thread, start your own in the Recruiting forum

***BACK ON TOPIC***

How is that possible Combat_medic?!?
What kind of strings did you pull? ;)

Know kidding.

I‘m at the three week mark right about now.

Done CFAT, Medical and Interview. Things have gone pretty smoothly for me.

OK, here‘s the story:

When I decided to join, I showed up at the recruiting office, and was told that I needed to get everything back in 2 days if I wanted to get on course for the summer. So, I got everything sent in, got a call in about a week, scheduled my PT test, medical, written exam and interview for the week after. After doing all that, and them processing all the documents, I got a call to show up to be sworn in after a few days. (all of this time should total up 3 weeks)

A few days later, sworn in, kitted out a few days after, and the following Sunday I was off to Wainwright for Basic... and a new land speed record is set, ladies and gentleman

I think it all depends on the time of year and whether you want res or reg. For res, you are screwed if you show up in the middle of summer or just before Xmas standdown. Man, I learned the hard way. I started the whole thing in late July -- that was my first call to the CO. Although I was told I was in last week, I finally got sworn in last night. In total, 6.5 months.

Try the K-W recruiting centre, I did all of my phys/med tests in one day. Very quick.

Yes, I know, get back to the thread or start your own .... freakin‘ forum fascists! :D

I applied in October.. Got sworn in just before I went on BMQ this summer..

Went to the Hamilton Recruiting center also, last January, sworn in June 5th, BMQ/SQ in Meaford that summer, CADPAT Oct. 30th.

PS: Congrats DnA! :D

Seems to be a number of Niagara Region people here. Going to miss Hess Village come this weekend for about three years. Oh well.

Cadpat last Octber? lucky.. us Westies are still waiting.

I‘ve come to accept the fact that I likely won‘t be getting it any time soon. :D

Korus

Royal Westminister Regiment?

My unit "12th SVC BN" already has it, when the QM‘s done restocking or whatever, I‘ll be getting kitted out ETA on that is 2 weeks

hopefully i get the CADPAT
